Jackie Mooney's July 24th Workshop cards.

As I expected I had an amazing day at Jackie's workshop yesterday!
Jackie had 6 stunning cards for us to do this month.
3 were male themed cards
Photobucket
I love the textured gold ball behind the golfer!
Photobucket
This die is a Tim Holtz & makes for a real vintage feeling card.
Photobucket
This card has Jake, Mami Doodles newest digital image & he comes with 2 different hair styles & 4 different outfits giving a total of 8 images for the extremely low price of just €2.
Now for the 3 girlie cards.
Photobucket
This is such a cute stamp, what I wouldn't give for an afternoon rooting through Jackie Mooney's stamp collection! She has so many gorgeous stamps!!
Photobucket
This card had glossy accents on it & really made it stand out!!
Photobucket
There were so many lovely touches to this quick & easy card like the little button flower centre, the snoopy charm, the pearl papers & snoopy's glittery collar!
This next card was definitely my fave.
Photobucket
I just love the Cow Girl image, God only knows when I would use this stamp again but I so want it!!
Photobucket
I also love the effect of doubling the fence dies!!
Photobucket
I am dying for next month to see what Jackie comes up with, no doubt everything will be stunning!

July 24th Card kit swap!

I got Isobels kit again this month & as you can see in this photo
Photobucket
it was jam packed with goodies!
I made 2 cards this month & was still left with loads!

New Baby Card!

The idea for this card is from one of Jackie Mooney's workshop cards!
Photobucket
The bib is made from just a circle nestie & the scalloped nestie!
A very simple & easy technique but very cute & effective!
Photobucket
You can see Jackie's version of the bib here
Photobucket
I also got the idea for the feet from another Jackie Mooney workshop card & you can see that card here.
The feet I made are bigger than the ones from Jackie's workshop & I got the mould from Ebay & used Fimo!
The check paper I used are from Pink Petticoat & I love them as they come in 52 colours & there are loads of different patterns & they all come in the 52 colours so matching papers is so easy!!
The little teddy is from Ebay also & I used Papermania capsule collection buttons just scattered randomly!

Card Swap!

So this card is for a swap on a Facebook group that I am a member off.
Di was the host & came up with the theme of black & white or Sepia (like an old photo) & it had to have a big flower & a gem!
This is what I came up with.
PhotobucketPhotobucket
I tried to create a sepia effect using alcohol inks & a canvas effect photo paper
a technique I first tried at Jackie Mooney's monthly workshops.
The big flower was created using tulle (which was used at last months workshop)
& lace. I also used alcohol ink for the big heart gem to give it an antiqued look!!

My eCraft is finally behaving!!

After downloading a new update for the eCraft software I tried to cut a SVG file I got for free on line. I can't remember right now where I got it from but it was the first SVG file I tried to cut with my eCraft all those months ago back in September 2010.
It never did cut as the software had major issues & I have been using Make the Cut software ever since! I tried the eCraft software because although MTC is brilliant it cuts to the eCraft very slowly.
I cut this
Photobucket
very delicate cuts & no sticky mat
Photobucket
and it cut brilliantly, it wasn't as fast as cutting from a sd card but it was faster than MTC.
I still love MTC for editing & creating files but its nice to be able to cut with the software that came with my eCraft!

Mami Doodles Cards.

At Jackie Mooney's June 26th workshop Jackie was displaying 8 gorgeous cards (well there were way more than 8 lol) but these 8 were all of the same "girl" only with different outfits & different hairstyles! They are Mami Doodle's Ligia images & I was shocked when Jackie told me that all 8 images were only €2, that is only 25 cent's for each one!!
I had to buy them & I sat down one day & just coloured all of these images.
Here are the ones I have made into cards so far.
Photobucket
Photobucket
For the next one I used another Mami Doodles image as I know Jackie does use 2 images together & I wanted to see if I could do it! It took a while but I eventually got it & this is what I came up with!!
Photobucket
Photobucket
I love these images & I have just noticed while on the Mami Doodles website that Elisa now has 8 boy images for the same insanly low price of €2.
I'm off to get those now!!

My homemade birthday cards!

The night before my birthday this year my hubby & daughter had a daddy daughter night.
This is what they got up to!!
This was Steff's creation.
Photobucket
This was one Steff done for Lily to colour in with her magic markers that got
used more than ever before lol!
Photobucket
This is one that Lily done all on her own, even the bubble writing!!
Photobucket
I was delighted to get them on my birthday!

Daughters birthday card & friends new baby card!

So Lily started ballet & thinks she is a prima ballerina already lol so
I thought it would be nice to do a ballet card for her!
Photobucket
The background is stamped with Versamark ink & then chalked, a technique I learned at Jackie Mooney's monthly workshops
I also used tulle on this card behind the circle with the ballerina on it!!
Photobucket
This card was made for my friend Yaz who had her gorgeous little boy last month!
I have been lucky enough to have a cuddle of the beautiful David & even nearly brought him home after his big sister Leah sold him to me for a dollar lol!!
Photobucket
I also made a candle which you can see here.

Photobucket
This one was for my hubbies aunt!
Photobucket
These 3 were made by Ciara.
