Mans Birthday card.

I was asked to make a birthday card for a man but the customer wanted the date of birth & the date of the birthday on it but I didn't really like the idea as it reminded me of a tombstone!!

So I looked up news paper archives & was lucky enough to find a news paper for the date of the birthday!

I cut the 50 using my eCraft.

Mami Doodles Challenge 38

This week over at Mami Doodles the challenge is Fairytales are Real & Manuela set the challenge. The DT were all very inspired by the challenge but it is very interesting to see how we were all inspired in very different ways.
To take part in the challenge all you need to do is make a project & follow the theme of Fairytales are real, this is an easy enough theme to follow as there are so many things that can be used for fairytales!! If you use a Mami Doodles image (including freebies) you will be entered twice! The prize for this challenge is the last 3 images released (Under the Mistletoe, Tropical Santa & Holly) plus one of your choice. Pop over to the Mami Doodles blog to see the other DT entries for some inspiration!

I decided to do a LO for this challenge & used the Girly Girl image who was coloured with ProMarkers & FlexMarkers!

Ouch LO

A few years ago my son fell while out in his nanna's & his uncle Gary notified everyone when he start screaming that Ryan had broken his arm. I ran to check what was up but am ashamed to say I ran screaming as soon as I seen his arm which looked very much like a s shape. Only my MIL's boyfriend was there my poor boy would have been left standing there. He was so brave & calmed down way faster than I did.
I thought this photo deserved to be made into a LO

The image was coloured using ProMarkers & FlexMarkers.
The combo is
Sky Blue, Cool Aqua & Glacier Blue
Mulberry Fuchsia Pink & Pale Blossom

Mami Doodles Challenge 37

This week over at Mami Doodles the challenge is Christmas.
Here are 3 cards I done for the challenge, I haven't crafted for so long so once I started I just kept going, I also couldn't choose which of the many great Mami Doodles Christmas digital images to use.

This first one is using Elisa's newest digi "Under the Mistletoe" & this little cutie is going to be the November freebie so you will get it free with any Mami Doodles purchase for the next month!

ProMarker combo used is
Black & Cool Greys 5-1
Burgundy, Cardinal Red, Berry & Lipstick Red
Forest Green, Lime Green & Lime Zest
Antique White
I used Glimmer Dust to add some sparkly snow & a tartan bow to finish.

I just love this image called "The Storyteller" I think it is so sweet.
ProMarker combo used is
Sky Blue, Arctic Blue & Glacier Blue
Raw Sienna, Mustard & Buttercup
Burnt Sienna, Caramel & Sandstone
Cardinal Red, Berry & Lipstick Red
Bright Green & Leaf Green
Antique White
Blush & Soft Peach

For this card I used "Holly" She is just lovely. Elisa came up with this image after Wendy requested that the Mother Nature image would be great as a Christmas image with holly & I think they could be sisters lol!!

ProMarker combo is
Walnut, Burnt Sienna, Caramel & Sandstone
Blush & Soft Peach
Forest Green, Lime Green & Lime Zest.
I gave her red gem holly berries (for a bit of sparkle) &
used glossy accents on the holly leaves.

To play along with this challenge visit the Mami Doodles Blog. All you need to do is make a Christmas card but remember if you use a Mami Doodles image (including freebies) you will be entered twice.
The prize for this challenge is the last 3 Mami Doodles images released & they are Autumn Girl, Holly & Wanna Play plus one image of your choice.
The challenge will run for 2 weeks so that gives you until the 17th of November to join in!! All you have to do is add your link here.
Looking forward to seeing some great creations.

Published yet again!!

I submitted a card & a LO to Crafting Ireland to be published in issue 5 & Yay... My card was published. I am delighted, it really does feel great to see your work in a magazine.

Here is the card I submitted.
I used one of Elisa's newest images, I have a thing for snowmen so fell in love with this image as soon as I seen it & couldn't wait to use it!

I also submitted this LO & although it wasn't published I am still happy with it, I am betting that as each issue of Crafting Ireland comes there are going to be so many submissions but at least it gives me the nudge I need to start doing more scrapbooking!!!
