Last Mami Doodles Challenge :(

This is a sad post because Elisa who is the designer & creator of Mami Doodles
has decided to close the shop :(
I was really sad to hear this news as I have loved the Mami Doodles images & was thrilled to be picked to be a part of the DT for Mami Doodles.
This will be the last challenge for Mami Doodles.
The theme is 3 patterned papers & I have to say now that I got the theme wrong!
I have no idea how it happened, I thought the challenge was for a birthday.
This is the card I made for what I thought was a birthday challenge.
I used the Hot Air Balloon image for this card & I thought I would give the clean & simple look a go.
The image was coloured using ProMarkers & I used this
ProMarker combo
Royal Blue, True Blue & Azure.
Gold, Canary & Lemon.
Burnt Sienna, Caramel & Sandstone.
I used the ProMarkers to doodle around the edges too.
The challenge will run for the next 2 weeks so you have until Thursday the 8th of March to enter.
You don't have to use a Mami Doodles image but if you use a Mami Doodles image (including freebies) you will be entered into the draw twice. You can see the cards made by the rest of the DT (all who got the theme right lol) over on the Mami Doodles blog.
Keep checking in on the Mami Doodles blog because Elisa will be having a closing down sale soon.

Blog Candy Winner.

I know I am almost 2 weeks late announcing the winner of the blog candy but I have been extra busy & wanted to draw the winner in a way that would be fair so my daughter Lily picked the winner from my craft "car bin"
Almost everyone who goes to Jackie Mooney's workshop has one of these lol!!
I'm not announcing the winner you will have to watch the video to see who has won ;)

Congrats to the winner!

Wedding Cards.

These are cards I made for my cousins wedding.

I got the idea for this card from a fellow crafters blog I knew I would have to give this a go when I seen the card on Mary's blog.
The love heart background is stamped.

Here are some close up shots of the hearts.

I used a Cuttlebug folder to emboss the "dress" & then glittered it using Stickles.
I added some gems for the necklace.

I cut the lapels & bow tie by hand from black cardstock I had glittered using Crafters Companion Glitter Spray & added black gems for the buttons.

Here is the second card for the lovely couple.

This was done using the patchwork technique that I have become addicted to at the moment.

Here is a photo of the newly weds.

Don't they look so happy.
I also met a fellow crafter at the wedding. Eve from Crafty Queens was doing the photography. It really is a small world lol!!

I am late posting about the challenge as I was at a family wedding
on Friday when the challenge went live.

I used glossy accents on the balloon.

Patchwork Cards.

I recently bought some new craft supplies from this place & came across their blog.
They had a very simple but beautiful card made from making patchwork with little triangles of different patterned papers & thought I'd give it a go.
Well if I am not addicted to doing these now!!!
They are brilliant for using up all those tiny scraps of paper that is too beautiful to bin.
Here are 3 that I made & there are more in the making!!

Check out the shop too, they are fairly good with their prices & the shipping doesn't go up the more you spend, it is by weight but is still cheap enough & doesn't take too long &  to make it even better you get Charlie points every time you buy something & it all adds up!!
