The image is a Karens Doodles.
She has some fantastic images for sale on her blog.

Photobucket

now the third one!!

Next is a side easel card & this was totally out of my comfort zone.
I used kraft card for the first time. I loved working with it but don't think it really
worked for a baby card!

Card kit swap!

So this is the second card kit I have completed.
I found out on Sunday that the kit I received last month came
from Isobel herself & this months came from Angela so thanks to both lovely ladies for a bit of inspiration & a wee challenge.

The kit had to include

1 Card & Envelope
2 pieces of Patterned Paper
1 piece of plain Cardstock
1 Stamped Image
4 Brads/Buttons
1 "Masculine" embellishment.

This is the finished project.

If you attend Jackies workshop or would like to then give the Kit swap a go. The details can be found on Jackies workshop blog here.

Jackie Mooney's May 29th Workshop Cards.

So another great relaxing day was enjoyed this weekend &
as anticipated Jackie Mooney had 6 gorgeous cards for us to do.

This one is so cute & had us all colouring like mad.

Photobucket

Close up of the bricks in the wall, I kind of forget to add little touches
like this when I'm doing my own cards!

Photobucket

I love this little girl stamp.
I was too impatient & starting to feel a bit sickly to cut
around the flowers on top of her hat so I just cut them off
but you can see how it was supposed to look
on Jackies workshop blog here

Photobucket

This one was very elegant.

Photobucket

Just a touch of Stickles to give a bit of bling

Photobucket

& a lace bow & pearl pin for sophistication.

Photobucket

This was my fave to make.
Must get hubby to start picking me up coffee cup holders.
It is a very effective technique.

Photobucket

Very surprisingly my DD picked this from the lot
& told me this was the one she wanted for her next birthday?!?

Photobucket

This one had me in a panic, I stuck the rosette & then
couldn't get it to flatten but I eventually got it.

Photobucket

This was a nice easy one but very effective with the rich looking gold on
the "stopper" part, the background paper
& the Mami Doodles image's dress which was paper pieced.

Photobucket

I can't wait for the June 26th workshop now.

Card kit swap!

Ok this is my 3rd post of the day but I wanted to give this topic it's own post cos I plan on making my card kit card every Monday as soon as the kids are in school!
It was a bank holiday after Jackie's last workshop & as my hubby was at home I decided to craft!! Yes craft just for the sake of it & decided to give my card kit a bash. The theme the lovely Isobel set for us last month was "A female birthday"! I don't know whose kit I got (come to think of it I don't know whose the others were either lol) but I loved the kit!! The image felt vintagy (I know that's not a word but YKWIM), as well as a cream deckle edge card I also got 2 lovely green papers & a sheet of vellum ( next time I will have to take photos before I make the card ) I got tiny little flowers & a butterfly dangle thingy & finally a wee little hat charm!!

So this is what I done with it!!

Photobucket

The only things I added were the eyelets.

Photobucket

I put foam pads underneath to give the top layer a curved look.

Photobucket

This month the theme is "Masculine" & I am actually looking forward to not only the workshop on Sunday but getting to make my kit card on Monday too!!!

Jackie Mooney's May 1st workshop cards.

Wow!! This is my second post of the day but I better post these up now cos I will be going to Jackie's workshop this Sunday & I will be posting those cards up!!

I'm going to start with my fave card from last month! It is a very simple card but really stands out! Of course it is my fave colour too but I just adore that image.

Photobucket

She is soooo cute!!

Photobucket

This was a great card to make!
I love the idea of embossing the punched out piece so that it really gives it a lacy look!!

Photobucket

I love the wet look effect of the glossy accents!

Photobucket

This was a quickie & I think it is adorable, I love the sentiment!

Photobucket

The pom pom flower centres are just too cute.

Photobucket

Another cutie, bit of a theme going on that I didn't notice at the time lol

Photobucket

Another great idea for flower centres & I love those teeny tiny leaves too!!

Photobucket

A very interesting shape that could even work for invitations!!

Photobucket

The inside

Photobucket

& a very elegant looking pin.

Photobucket

Last but not least is this little beauty.

Photobucket

Definitely goes to show that less is more works really well.

Right that's that done.
Will have to try do it a bit sooner in the future!
