Foamiran!!!!

So there is a reason I have started crafting again after all this time and crafting because I want to and not because I had a card I had to make for an occasion.

While flicking through facebook noticed a few cards made by Karolina where she had these beautiful flowers made from Foamiran. I had never heard of this so off I went to google, the flowers made from this foam were just the prettiest and I have always loved using flowers on my cards so I kept searching and that is when I came across the facebook page for Foamiran Ireland. I had a little problem though as I had gotten rid of a lot of my crafting essentials because 1. I wasn't getting much time to craft and 2. When I did craft I found I was using my Silhouette Cameo all the time so I had now flower dies anymore and had even gotten rid of my die cutting machine so I contacted Foamiran Ireland to see if it would be possible to get 1 sheet of this foam to try cutting it on the Cameo. I got a reply pretty quickly from Agnieszka (or Agnes for short) and she told me she would send me a sheet to try. It arrived the next morning and while the smallest one was having her nap I dragged the Cameo into the kitchen and started to cut. I was delighted because it did cut on the Cameo and I made my first order from Foamiran Ireland that day, again my order arrived the very next day and I have been experimenting with making flowers ever since. I am well and truly hooked now.

 

This is my first ever attempt.

 

I was pretty delighted with the outcome but the more I played with this foam the better I liked it and have tried so many techniques.

I tried so many ways of making roses.

 

Then I tried a "real rose"

 

This one was for the son to give to his girlfriend for valentines day.

 

So this is why I am crafting for the sake of crafting once again :)

 



I'm Back!!!!!

So it has been a loooong time since I have had time to blog. The last time I blogged I was a mother of 2 and I am now a mother of 4!!!! Toni was born in December 2013 and Maya came along in April 2016 to join Ryan April 1999 and Lily May 2006 so getting time to craft was near impossible but now Toni is at playschool 5 days a week for a whole 3 hours a day (woohoo) and most days Maya will nap when Toni is at playschool giving me a little time to get back into crafting.
I did manage to get a little crafting done and for my birthday in May 2015 I got this as a present from my Mam, Dad and sister.

This made getting crafting done a whole lot easier.

So I did get to do some crafting and hopefully I will get to do a lot more!

Mami Doodles Farewell Blog Hop

Last Mami Doodles Challenge :(

This is a sad post because Elisa who is the designer & creator of Mami Doodles 

has decided to close the shop :(

I was really sad to hear this news as I have loved the Mami Doodles images & was thrilled to be picked to be a part of the DT for Mami Doodles.

This will be the last challenge for Mami Doodles.

The theme is 3 patterned papers & I have to say now that I got the theme wrong!

I have no idea how it happened, I thought the challenge was for a birthday.

This is the card I made for what I thought was a birthday challenge.

I used the Hot Air Balloon image for this card & I thought I would give the clean & simple look a go.

The image was coloured using ProMarkers & I used this 

ProMarker combo

Royal Blue, True Blue & Azure.

Gold, Canary & Lemon.

Burnt Sienna, Caramel & Sandstone.

I used the ProMarkers to doodle around the edges too.

The challenge will run for the next 2 weeks so you have until Thursday the 8th of March to enter.

You don't have to use a Mami Doodles image but if you use a Mami Doodles image (including freebies) you will be entered into the draw twice.You can see the cards made by the rest of the DT (all who got the theme right lol) over on the Mami Doodles blog.

Blog Candy Winner.

I know I am almost 2 weeks late announcing the winner of the blog candy but I have been extra busy & wanted to draw the winner in a way that would be fair so my daughter Lily picked the winner from my craft "car bin"
