Some Foamiran makes! WARNING!!!! This is a loooonnng post!

Hello and welcome to my blog.
Today I am playing catch up so will be showing a few recent makes.
First off I have a wedding card to show.
For the flowers on this card I used the Rosy Dot AC1 die and made some basic quick and easy flowers that I then jazzed up with some of the fabulous new stamens from 14 Craft Bar.

I cut the box card, bag, cake and all the paper elements using my Silhouette Cameo

For this card I used for the first time some of the plastic greenery available from 14 Craft Bar, at first when I seen this I didn't like the look of it too much but when I gave it a coat of  white Gesso it completely changed how it looked so I think I will have to stock up on those now :)

For the little flowers I used the Rosy Dot AC3, I love using these little flowers as there is not much to be done in terms of shaping them, just place on the iron until they curl and then press into the middle. Super easy and they are great for filling out the larger flowers.

I used Inktense pencils to color the chipboards from the weddings and love collection in 14 Craft Bar and then dabbed over them with a babywipe to give a blended washy look.

The next thing I have to share with you are 2 corsages I made. I had never tried to make a corsage before so it was a fun learning experience.

This first one was for my son's beautiful girlfriend.

For the Calla Lilies I hand cut an upside down heart shape with a long tail. I rolled only the edges of the petal and then using a large ball tool I shaped the bottom of the lily. I then colored it with oil pastels and used the edge of the iron to curl the edges of the flower. I covered some heavy florists wire with white florists tape then coated with clear nail varnish and then dipped in white glitter to make the stamens.

Here is my son looking a little lost as to how to put a corsage on lol, but he managed in the end.
Don't they look very glamorous!!

Next up is a corsage I made for a beautiful young lady called Marta, Marta is the daughter of Agnieskza (or Agnes for short) who is the owner of 14 Craft Bar so it was a real honor to be able to make this corsage for the daughter of Irelands Foamiran queen ;)

I had been sent a photo of Marta's beautiful dress which was lace and super elegant. The dress was a lovely light peach which was a perfect match for the pale peach Foamiran.
I used the largest die from the Rosy Dot AC1 set. This die makes an almost life sized rose.

I added some tulle with silver dots and a feather from my stash and then attached it all to a wide satin ribbon.

Marta's dress had some silver beading on it so I made a little spray with crystals to add some bling.

I used a leaf mold to add detail to the green Foamiran leaves.

And here is the stunning Marta wearing her gorgeous lace dress and Foamiran corsage.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope a wood weekend will be had by all!

14 Craft Bar DT

Hello there

Today I would like to share a card with you for 14 Craft Bar DT, Irelands newest craft store.
I decided to step outside my comfort zone with this card and made a BIG flower to be the focal point of the card, I also I think for the first time ever used only colored Foamiran...... no white at all.
Something else I tried that was new to me was mixed media on a card, I made the background paper using watercolor paper, Gesso and Liquarel watercolors.

I love the matt stamens as they can be colored to match your project and those beautiful vintage style buttons just finish the flowers so easily.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Mixed media frame.

So this was a very personal project for me and it was a birthday present for my dad that he was a year waiting for but I eventually got around to it and he was delighted with it.

This was made for my dad who only found out in 2007 that he was adopted. He found out in 2013 that although his birth mother had passed away he had 2 sisters and a brother who had only found out about him in 2010. After meeting up with one of his sisters and brother, his sister gave him a missal that belonged to his mum and I was also able to find his birth cert once I knew his birth mothers name so both of those are in the frame along with photos of his mum as a young woman and photos of him with his new family.

The frame is just a basic Ribba one from Ikea that I treated with gold guilding wax to give an aged look. I created a crackled background using glue and then used masks and paint. I added some Foamiran flowers to decorate.

The wording was cut on the Cameo.
