Card Swap!

So this card is for a swap on a Facebook group that I am a member off.

Di was the host & came up with the theme of black & white or Sepia (like an old photo) & it had to have a big flower & a gem!

This is what I came up with.

I tried to create a sepia effect using alcohol inks & a canvas effect photo paper

a technique I first tried at Jackie Mooney's monthly workshops.

The big flower was created using tulle (which was used at last months workshop)

& lace. I also used alcohol ink for the big heart gem to give it an antiqued look!!

My eCraft is finally behaving!!

After downloading a new update for the eCraft software I tried to cut a SVG file I got for free on line. I can't remember right now where I got it from but it was the first SVG file I tried to cut with my eCraft all those months ago back in September 2010.

It never did cut as the software had major issues & I have been using Make the Cut software ever since! I tried the eCraft software because although MTC is brilliant it cuts to the eCraft very slowly.

I cut this

very delicate cuts & no sticky mat

and it cut brilliantly, it wasn't as fast as cutting from a sd card but it was faster than MTC.

I still love MTC for editing & creating files but its nice to be able to cut with the software that came with my eCraft!

Mami Doodles Cards.

At Jackie Mooney's June 26th workshop Jackie was displaying 8 gorgeous cards (well there were way more than 8 lol) but these 8 were all of the same "girl" only with different outfits & different hairstyles! They are Mami Doodle's Ligia images & I was shocked when Jackie told me that all 8 images were only €2, that is only 25 cent's for each one!!

I had to buy them & I sat down one day & just coloured all of these images.

Here are the ones I have made into cards so far.

For the next one I used another Mami Doodles image as I know Jackie does use 2 images together & I wanted to see if I could do it! It took a while but I eventually got it & this is what I came up with!!

I love these images & I have just noticed while on the Mami Doodles website that Elisa now has 8 boy images for the same insanly low price of €2.

I'm off to get those now!!

My homemade birthday cards!

The night before my birthday this year my hubby & daughter had a daddy daughter night.

This is what they got up to!!

This was Steff's creation.

This was one Steff done for Lily to colour in with her magic markers that got

used more than ever before lol!

This is one that Lily done all on her own, even the bubble writing!!

I was delighted to get them on my birthday!

Daughters birthday card & friends new baby card!

So Lily started ballet & thinks she is a prima ballerina already lol so

I thought it would be nice to do a ballet card for her!

The background is stamped with Versamark ink & then chalked, a technique I learned at Jackie Mooney's monthly workshops

I also used tulle on this card behind the circle with the ballerina on it!!

This card was made for my friend Yaz who had her gorgeous little boy last month!

I have been lucky enough to have a cuddle of the beautiful David & even nearly brought him home after his big sister Leah sold him to me for a dollar lol!!

Altered notebooks.

So my hubbies young cousin was staying with us for a few days & to pass the

time last Saturday we spent a few hours crafting!

This is the notebook I made for my son who was too cool to craft with us

but not too cool for a notebook lol!

This I made for my sister.

This one was for my hubbies aunt!

These 3 were made by Ciara.

Wedding & Christening cards!

This wedding card has a LOTV stamp & they have some really cute stamps!

As you can see the stamp really is gorgeous.

The pink & blue card was just plain old card & then I sprayed it with this

& it was transformed into gorgeous glitter card!!

Again I used a LOTV stamp on this christening card.

It works well for boys & girls.

June card kit swap!

The theme for the June swap was love, romance etc! I got Isobels kit

& this is what I came up with!

The kit was to include

*Card & envelope*

*2 piece's of co-ordination paper*

*1 piece of cardstock*

*1 length ribbon or lace*

*3 flowers*

*2 hearts*

*1 stamped image*

Jackie Mooney's June 26th Workshop Cards.

Again I had an awesome day of relaxing, chatting but most of all creating the 6 amazing cards from the kits that Jackie had put together for us!

Here are the wonderful cards we got to make!

I love the summery feeling to this fab easel card!

A lovely quick & easy but effective card!

The butterfly border on this is a brilliant idea.

How cute is this one & I love the sentiment!!

I love this one. I have used tulle before but never thought

of doing anything like this with it!

How clever is that.

Now as much as I love the card above this next one was my fave!

Anyone who knows me well will know why & also the image is just

the cutest!

Looking forward to the July 24th Workshop for my day of relaxation, catching up with friends & to see what amazing creations Jackie has for us!!

Charity cards.

My friend Bab's sells cards all year round for the Irish Cancer Society &

I try to help out but last month bab's called on all of her

crafty friend to help out by doing some dog themed

cards for A Dogs Life charity!

I used that reason to get some crafting done just for the sake of crafting

& I really enjoyed it!

Here are the cards I came up with!

The lovely "textured paper" you see one these cards is actually

Wallpaper samples that I got from my local B & Q store!!

Of course all the colouring of this cute little stamp

that I got from Ebay was done using my ProMarkers!
